I love this place and I hope to return. I ate here a few years ago with my family.
I ordered the Pork. I really enjoyed my noodles. I never had Cambodian style noodles before, this was a unique experience for me and I enjoyed it. I have been thinking about this place since and I hope to return so I can try the Cha qua and the Beef and Meatballs soup. -

This place is known for their dry style of noodles. I was told the reason the dry style was so much better is that they add a special sauce to the dry noodles but the sauce goes into the soup for the wet noodles so it's not as distinct.
Also if you get the dry noodles they still give you soup. Plus it comes with a big soup bone which my dog absolutely loved. I recommend the dry noodles. -

this place been on my radar. seen all over instagram and andrew zimmerman ate here.
wait time no problem i love the early hours 7:00 - 3:00.
got soup in on the #2. was good i think the rice stick complement it really good. i really needed the hot oil pepper for it but they had couple different hot sauce types. the baked good are fresh. -

I made the saddest trip to Long Beach today.
After following them forever on IG, I finally tried this place and was let down. I ordered the #1 Phnom Penh special bc I thought that was what everyone else got. However, the flavor of the soup and the stickiness of the noodles wasn't very tasteful. The regular bowl looked very small. The soup was very bland and I had to flavor it with some fish sauce. The pork bone looked a lot better in pictures and if you chew around it, there really is nothing there.
I'm sad to report this place didn't live up to my standards at all. I'm glad I did get to try it and will be sticking with my local place for some hu tieu instead. Their iced coffee w condensed milk is very good and strong! They also offer complimentary hot tea here. -

I was slightly a bit disappointed with the food. I have been waiting to come here for awhile because I've heard about it plus I do love me some Cambodian noodle soups! I came on a Saturday morning around 10ish-11 and the wait was about 15 minutes for a party of two.
The broth: 3/5 was lukewarm. I always appreciate it when it's piping hot. I always say, if a soup is hot it can cool down, but if it's cold, it ain't gonna heat up on its own. The broth was also a little more on the sweet side.
Number #1 with small rice noodles 2/5: I wish I had gotten my noodle bowl with soup instead because the dry version was not great. The noodles and ingredients in the bowl such as pork were bland. There was a small amount of sauces in the bowl that was not nearly equivalent to the amount of ingredients in the bowl, so I was very disappointed.
Loat Cha: 4/5 probably the best thing out of everything we ordered since everything else was mediocre. We got it with beef. I think it could use more flavor and less beansprouts.
Meat pie: 3/5
It was a lot more hollow than I expected. The crust/ outside was not hot. The inside reminded me of a ham sui gar (cantonese dim sum dish) except with a lot of onions and if I came here again, I'd probably just get the fried Chinese breadstick/ donut to eat with the soup.
